The Third Reich Tour
Tracing Nazi History in Berlin

Berlin’s history is deeply marked by the Nazi era, a brief but devastating period from 1933 to 1945. While most historical tours touch on this dark chapter, this tour offers a full focus on Hitler’s rise to power, the Nazi regime’s impact, and the lasting scars left on the city. We will visit key Nazi-era sites, including historical buildings, war memorials, and sites of resistance, gaining an understanding of the machinery of fascism, the Holocaust, and the efforts to remember and confront this past.
Tour Highlights:
- Reichstag (German Parliament) – Our tour begins at the seat of German democracy, pivotal in Hitler’s rise to power.
- Memorial to Communists & Social Democrats – Honoring the first political victims of the Nazi regime.
- Sinti & Roma Memorial – A powerful tribute to the half a million Sinti and Roma murdered during the Holocaust.
- Soviet War Memorial – A striking monument built after WWII to commemorate Soviet soldiers who fought against Nazi Germany.
